Justice Law Office considers it a privilege to give back to our community, especially around the holidays. That is why this year, we are making monetary donations and donations of needed items to Saint Joseph Children’s Home here in Louisville. SJCH has provided a loving home to Louisville’s most vulnerable children since 1849 – first orphans, and then in later years to children removed from their homes due to abuse, neglect, substance abuse, or domestic violence. SJCH has served more than 70,000 children. Today, SJCH provides three core services: a residential treatment program for abused and neglected children, a therapeutic foster care and adoption program for children birth through age 21, and a child development center for children six weeks through pre-Kindergarten.
We will also be providing monetary donations to Wayside Christian Mission this holiday season. Wayside has helped Louisville’s homeless population by tackling the root causes of homelessness using a proven holistic approach, with an end goal of being able to return men and women to the community as sober, self-supporting citizens. Wayside has a number of programs and facilities, including but not limited to, day shelters and emergency shelters, two thrift stores, a dining hall, life skills training, on-site case management, vocational training, and much more.
Finally, we will be volunteering with Habitat for Humanity this year. Habitat for Humanity of Metro Louisville is always looking for volunteers for a variety of construction and non-construction related projects. In addition to building houses, Habitat also offers opportunities to assist with its ReStore thrift store locations, its warehouse and donation center, customer service, and more. If you are looking for a meaningful way to make a difference this holiday, we encourage you to join us and volunteer some of your time to this great organization.
We thank you for the opportunity to serve our friends and neighbors in Louisville and wish you and your family a happy holiday season!
